Tom Henderson, a now prominent leaker, is the main source for a rumor surrounding the existence of a Bully sequel being in development. The supposed leak has received a lot of heat, however, given the lack of substantiated evidence since the revelation. Henderson was asked once again about their thoughts on the rumor following Rockstar’s recent Grand Theft Auto news, to which Henderson reasserted his confidence that a Bully project remains in development.

In a post on Twitter, Henderson says that “there’s something going on” with the Bully series, but chooses not to elaborate any further. The new comments from Henderson are a step back from what he’s said previously. He now describes it as something going on with Bully, rather than explicitly stating he believes Bully 2 is in development. That could mean that Henderson is no longer confident in what he’s heard, or he could just be trying to avoid any more wild speculation.
A Bully-related project could mean any number of things. It could be that Rockstar is internally developing both Grand Theft Auto 6 and a new Bully game, or it could mean that another studio is working on a new Bully game. Alternatively, instead of a new Bully game, it could be a Bully remake or remaster. There’s even the possibility that it’s a cross-media Bully project instead.
It bears repeating, however, that Henderson very clearly said that Bully 2 was being made in his prior leak. More specifically, he said that Bully 2 was almost revealed during The Game Awards 2021. Several people were also said to have been shown “material” that made clear a reveal was coming soon. This was said in mid-December 2021.
Whether Henderson’s leak is accurate remains to be seen, but the insider seems confident that his information is accurate. Bully fans may want to manage their expectations, however, lowering those expectations from a Bully sequel announcement to something Bully-related. As for when fans can expect further information about this Bully project, it remains to be seen.
